Main spars laid out to start work on the wings

Cut, and fit 6 L angles on front of the spars

 

Brought all holes up to size, disassembled, deburred all holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of the L angles

 

Assembled and riveted L angles to spar

 

Fit spar tips to spar and brought all holes up to size

 

Deburred all spar tip holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces

 

Assembled spar tip to spar and riveted in place

Drilled and clecoed rear ribs to left wing

 

Clecoed nose ribs back on left spar

Drilled and clecoed nose ribs to rightt wing spar then removed nose ribs

 

Drilled and clecoed rear ribs to right wing

 

Clecoed nose ribs back on right spar

Smoothed edeges of 8 slat support brackets

 

Drilled 8 slat support brackets to mate with jig

 

Fabricated 8 nose skin support L angles

 

Drilled 4 nose skin support L angles and nose ribs

 

Back drilled 4 slat support brackets to nose rib

 

Drilled all holes up to size and clecoed 4 slat support brackets to nose rib and nose skin support L angles

 

Built 2 rear spar position templates

Drilled 4 nose skin support L angles and nose ribs

 

Back drilled 4 slat support brackets to nose rib

 

Brought all holes up to size, disassembled, deburred all holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of the 8 slat support brackets to nose rib and nose skin support L angles

 

Reassembled and installed 6 rivets in each of the 8 slat support bracket/nose rib assemblies

Fabricated right wing rear spar segments, rear spar doublers and attaching angles

 

Predrilled the rear spar doublers and attaching angles

 

Using the rear spar position templates, the right wing rear spar segments and rear spar doubler were aligned, drilled and clecoed in place

 

All holes drilled in right wing were drilled up to proper size and skeleton clecoed together

Laid out and predrilled 8 flaperon support brackets

 

Laid out and predrilled both upper rear strut brackets

 

Installed the 4 flaperon support brackets and the upper rear strut bracket and associated L angles on the right wing

 

Drilled all holes in brackets up to proper size

Fabricated left wing rear spar segments

 

Using the rear spar position templates, the left wing rear spar segments were aligned, drilled and clecoed in place – minus the inboard segment with doubler

 

Installed the 3 flaperon support brackets and the upper rear strut bracket and associated L angles on the leftt wing

 

Drilled all holes in brackets and rear spar segments up to proper size

Disassembled right wing ribs from spar, deburred all holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of ribs to spar

 

Riveted nose and rear ribs to main spar of right wing

 

Disassembled ribs from rear spar, deburred all holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of ribs, upper rear strut bracket and associated L angles on the right wing

Installed the last flaperon support bracket and the upper rear strut bracket and associated L angles on the leftt wing

 

Drilled all remaining holes in brackets and rear spar segments and ribs to main spar holes up to proper size

 

Disassembled left wing ribs from spar, deburred all holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of ribs to spar

 

Assembled and riveted nose and rear ribs to main spar of left wing

 

Disassembled ribs from rear spar, deburred all holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of ribs, upper rear strut bracket and associated L angles on the right wing

 

Assembled and riveted rear spar segments to ribs, upper rear strut bracket and associated L angles on the left wing

 

Installed rear fuel tank support channel and L angles in left and right wing

 

Disassembled channel and L angles, deburred all holes and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of both wings

 

Assembled and riveted channel to ribs in both wings

 

 

Total:

46.8

 

Both wing skeletons done
