Positioned, drilled, and clecoed ribs to the rear spar

 

Positioned, drilled, and clecoed the tip ribs to the rear spar

Assembled the stabilizer skeleton and riveted

 

Marked rivet lines on bottom of stabilizer skin

 

Drilled and clecoed bottom skin to skeleton

 

Marked cutout for aft bracket

 

Disassembled, debured holes in skeleton and inside of skin

 

Clecoed bottom skin in place

 

Deburred all holes and riveted bottom skin to skeleton

Wrapped top skin down, drilled and clecoed skin in position

Applied E-2300 Aluma-Dyne Conversion Coating to elevator control parts

 

Assembled and riveted elevator skeleton

Sprayed inside of elevator and stabilizer with Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor

 

Clecoed top skins down on elevator and stabilizer

 

Installed rivets in top skins of elevator and stabilizer

 

Installed elevator control parts on elevator

Marked, drilled and installed the elevator trim tab

 

Marked and cut the access hole for the electric trim servo

 

Drilled the mounting holes for the trim servo

 

Cut the trim servo push-pull tube to the proper length

 

Attached a DB9 connector to the end of the servo wires and made a pip-tail harness to go thru the elevator nose rib and connect to the fuselage wiring

 

Shaped and drilled the access hole cover plate and the elevator skin for later riveting

 

Squeezed all the rivets in the elevator trailing edge

 

Total Time:

71.0

 

Horizontal surfaces complete until final mating with the horizontal stabilizer
