Applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of the bottom skin and angles

 

Assembled bottom skin to L and Z angles and Rear Torque Tube Bearing and Bottom Channel

 

Riveted L and Z angles and Rear Torque Tube Bearing and Bottom Channel to bottom skin

Cut rudder cables pass thru holes in left and right skins

 

Trimmed rear bulkheads to fit side skins

 

Fit left skin to bottom skin

 

Fit right skin to bottom skin

Cut, drilled and installed L angles on top edged of HT bulkheads

 

Cut and fit rear diagonal L angles

 

Fit top skin to the side skins

Drilled all holes to proper size

 

Disassembled rear fuselage, deburred remaining holes, applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of the top skin, bottom skin and side skins

 

Assembled and riveted the bottom skin to the lower longerons

 

Assembled and riveted the top skin to the upper longerons

 

Riveted rear top stiffener to top skin

 

Riveted L angles on top edge of HT bulkheads

Installed 10 gussets and riveted in place

 

Aligned, drilled and clecoed uprights to predrilled holes

 

Predrilled baggage compartment back panel and clecoed to horizontal and vertical L angles

 

Installed L angles for sides of extended baggage panel

 

Installed zee channel between uprights

 

Cut extended baggage panel to size, predrilled holes on 3 sides and clecoed in place

 

Marked bottom of extended baggage panel for 2 L angles supports

 

Cut and marked two L angles supports for the extended baggage panel lower side

 

Trimmed the bottom longerons to match the side and bottom skins

Cut, aligned and drilled both side channels and clecoed in place

 

Positioned, drilled and clecoed both top longeron gussets to top skin

 

Cut shoulder harness attachment to size, drilled and clecoed both attachments to side skins

 

Filed slot in tapered channel, positioned, drilled and clecoed channel to the side skins

 

Cut the rear wing attachment brackets to size and predrilled the holes

 

Checked the distance between the two wing attachment bolt holes and drilled the brackets and attached to the side channels with cleos

 

Cut the top channel to proper angle and size

 

Clamped the top channel behind the rear wing attachments, drilled and clecoed

 

Drilled and clecoed the rivet line on the top skin through the top channel

 

Cut, positioned, drilled and clecoed the uprights to the fuselage side skins

Cut the seat back to size

 

Positioned, drilled and clecoed the seat back in place

Fabricated antennae reinforcement plate, installed #6 nutplates for attachment, drilled all holes to size including BNC connector access hole

Drilled necessary holes up to #20 in baggage compartment

 

Deburred all holes in baggage compartment and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to all mating surfaces of the baggage compartment

 

Assembled the baggage compartment and riveted the extended baggae compartment area
