Laid out, drilled and shaped both pedal outboard bearings

 

Located, drilled and fit both pedal outboard bearings to cockpit floor and forward longerons

 

Removed the rudder pedals and deburred all holes in the cockpit floor and pedal outboard bearings

Used Poly Fiber  E-2310 Aluma-Dyne Phosphoric Acid Etch to clean the pedal outboard bearings then treated them with E-2300 Aluma-Dyne Conversion Coating and applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to the mating surfaces

Laid out horizontal tail bellcrank and bellcrank block

 

Drilled all holes up to size and riveted the horizontal tail bellcrank and bellcrank block together

 

Laid out the flaperon bellcranks and bellcrank spacers

 

Drilled all rivet and bolt holes up to size on the flaperon bellcranks and bellcrank spacers

 

Used Poly Fiber  E-2310 Aluma-Dyne Phosphoric Acid Etch to clean the horizontal tail bellcrank and bellcrank block, flaperon bellcranks and bellcrank spacers then treated them with E-2300 Aluma-Dyne Conversion Coating

 

Riveted the flaperon bellcranks and bellcrank spacers together

Trimmed front of torque tube and fit in the fuselage

 

Squared the torque tube with the bottom channel and installed the two L angles to fix ithe bottom channel location

 

Aligned the horn with the torque tube and marked for drilling

 

Fit the elevator bellcrank on the torque tube

 

Drilled the torque tube for the horn

 

Drilled the front hole in the elevator control tube

 

Assembled the control stick and elevator control tube to the torque tube

 

Drilled the ¾” holes in the flaperon control bearings and predrilled the rivet pattern

 

Back drilled the bearing to the L angles on the back of the seat and the bottom of the baggage floor

 

Drilled the holes for the cotter pins that hold the flaperon bellcrank assemblies on the flaperon control

 

Drilled the hole in the bottom of the flaperon control to attach to the flaperon control lever

 

Fit the flaperon bell crank assemblies in the fuselage

 

Marked and drilled the flaperon control lever for the bolt that attaches to the control mount and trimmed the flaperon control lever to length

 

Cut the lower control rods to length and assembled with rod end bearings

 

Fit lower control rods between the horn and flaperon bellcranks

Corrected the length of lower control rods and rigged flaperon bellcrank assemblies to level across the top

 

Installed support L angle between the bottom channel and the bottom channel 7F10-1

Installed rudder cable fairleads on rear fuselage bottom channel

 

Fabricated rudder pulley brackets

 

Assembled pulley brackets, aligned with rudder cables, drilled and clecoed brackets in place

Drilled the two holes for the rudder cable attachment in the rudder pedal assembly

 

Drilled the holes for attachment of the brake master cylinders

 

Rounded the rudder cable and master cylinder attach points

 

Deburred all holes and edges

 

Fit steering rod boots in place and fit steering rods thru firewall

 

Measured, cut to length and assembled the steering rods to the nose gear strut and the rudder pedal assembly

Trimmed rudder skin for clearance over rear fin

 

Fit, trimmed and drilled the rudder upper spar fairing

 

Fit, trimmed and drilled the rudder lower spar fairing

 

Fit and trimmed rear fin

 

Drilled and clecoed L angles to rear fin

 

Predrilled forward fin, fit to top of fuselage and clecoed in place

 

Predrilled the L angles, fit rear fin to top of horizontal stabilizer and clecoed in place

Made final trim to the forward fin

 

Drilled holes for the forward and rear fin up to size and deburred all holes

 

Began installation of the tail light in the rudder

Ran the wires for the tail light thru the rudder

 

Sprayed the fiberglass tail light fixture with self etching primer

 

Finished installation of tail light to the rudder

 

Fit and installed the rudder stops to the rear of the fuselage

 

Applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to the mating surfaces of the forward and rear fins

 

Riveted the L angles to the sides of the rear fin

Fit electric elevator trim servo in elevator

 

Swaged the shackles on the forward end of both rudder cables

Disassembled the rudder pulley brackets and deburred all holes

 

Applied Cortec VCI-373 Wash Primer/Corrosion Inhibitor to the mating surfaces of the rudder pulley brackets and fuselage bottom skin

 

Assembled pulley brackets, installed and riveted brackets in place

Sprayed the steel control parts with self etching primer

 

Painted the cockpit visible parts of the controls gray and the parts not visible from the cockpit white

 

Installed my bushings on the flaperon control and installed the flaperon bellcranks to the flaperon control
