Bill Mileski's 701 in progress..........
wing root - notice lightweight conduit made
of plastic tubes used to hold fluorescent light tubes. Primer is Dupont
Variprime. I wouldn't use it again -- too toxic to shoot, and it's porous --
one Dupont engineer says it will actually hold moisture. And don't get it
on highly stressed steel, because the phosphoric acid can cause some
hydrogen embrittlement, weakening the steel. I used it on my elevator hinge
pins, regrettably. Best adhesion to aluminum, though.

tank install - used a clark type foam around the
tank, cork under, and some ribs on top to hold shape. Tank is older
trapezoidal kind, so sender sits nicely low, without need for bubble cover.
Tank, foam, and cork placed with silicone adhesive.

sender access - this is Stewart Warner type, and
I had to add the ground lug. Used gasket material and Sealube, hopefully
won't leak.

danny preflight - Skyshop's current 701 amphib
demonstrator, very nice. Lots of extras that make it impressive.
